BlockDAG’s 2026 Roadmap Aims to Bridge DAG Technology with Real-World Payments
Directed Acyclic Graph (DAG) technology has gained traction as a scalable alternative to traditional blockchains, with projects like Kaspa demonstrating high throughput and near-instant confirmations. However, widespread adoption in decentralized finance (DeFi), payments, and global value transfer remains elusive.
BlockDAG seeks to address this gap through a hybrid Proof-of-Work (PoW) and DAG architecture, coupled with ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) compatibility. The project's 2026 roadmap focuses on integrating DAG technology into practical financial applications, including remittances and on-chain trading, where scalability alone has fallen short.
The initiative positions itself as more than just another DAG chain, aiming instead to build foundational infrastructure for real-world financial tools. By combining the speed of DAG with the security of PoW, BlockDAG could potentially unlock new use cases in global finance.
